Kaizer Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki reveals his mandate, saying he is fully aware that he could be fired by tomorrow if results are not forthcoming.

Ntseki took over the coaching reigns at Chiefs after Arthur Zwane was demoted to the assistant coach role during the off-season.

Speaking to Radio 2000’s Thabiso Mosia, Ntseki said his mission is to bring positive results to the club and lead the Soweto giants, Chiefs to the CAF Champions League.

The former Bafana Bafana coach, Ntseki stated that his primary focus is on nothing but making an immediate impact at Naturena.

His statement comes after Chiefs also unveiled a new jersey ahead of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season and also made several new signings.

“As for how much time I’ve been given, time is neither here or there. You can be hired today and gone tomorrow,” said Ntseki.

“As for the mandate, it’s very simple. We must start by delivering good performances which will produce good results and that will then lead us into competing for the league and returning to the Champions League.”

CHIEFS BOSS NTSEKI ON TRANSFER PLANS

Having brought in the likes of Mduduzi Mdantsane, Edson Castillo, and Given Msimango to bolster their ranks, Ntseki suggested that Chiefs are not done in the market.

He added that a lot of changes can still be made during the course of the next campaign, saying they will not rest on their laurels.

“In the transfer market, I can’t say we are done yet. A lot of things can happen during the season, injuries or loss of form, so we always have to be prepared for any eventuality,” added Ntseki.

“We will continue working hard to get the right composition of the squad.”

Meanwhile, Amakhosi will get their league campaign underway against Chippa United at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday, 06 August.
