Johannesburg load shedding schedule set for big changes

Johannesburg residents can expect to see a change in their load shedding schedule from NEXT WEEK MONDAY, 6 November. Here is why…

Johannesburg residents who get their electricity from Eskom can expect some changes to the Johannesburg load shedding schedule from 6 November.

CITY POWER NOW IN CHARGEOF THE JOHANNESBURG LOAD SHEDDING SHEDULE

This comes after the power utility has handed over load shedding duties to City Power.

The changes are expected to also affected residents who are load shed by City Power as it will require adjustments to the load shedding blocks.

The good news is though, that residents that are load shed by City Power will remain on a two hour schedule, even when stage 5 and above has been implemented, where the rest of the country experiences four hour outage.

“The two entities are both committed to ensuring that the security of supply is not comprised”, a joint statement read.

The revised schedule and blocks will be made available on the City Power and Eskom website from 6 November 2023.
