WHAT ARE THE BIG UPDATES COMING TO WHATSAPP?

The capability to recognize text in photographs transmitted through WhatsApp and allow users to copy and paste this content is one of the most important changes the well-known encrypted messaging service plans to introduce this year. Only iOS16 users will be able to use this functionality, as the messaging platform is only offering support for it.

Another enhancement under development right now is the ability to move WhatsApp chat history between Android phones without using Google Drive. With this innovative solution, users will find it much simpler to transfer their conversation history from one phone to another. Once it’s available, users may do so by visiting WhatsApp Settings > Chats > Chat transfer to Android, scanning the QR code, and then according to the on-screen instructions.

Users of WhatsApp can presently message contacts, report rule infractions, and receive media. However, users will soon be able to report status updates that contain unacceptable information, such as defamatory content or obscene language.

The upcoming software updates are expected to include the extra features, which are being created for WhatsApp’s Android and desktop beta versions. Once made available to users, the status option will have a report button.
