The Department of Health has urged communities as well as organizations to foster an atmosphere that encourages open discussion of mental health issues and experience sharing to help remove challenges.
This will promote health-seeking behavior for early diagnosis. And also efficient management the department claims.

“Stigma and discrimination can make mental health problems worse. And delay a person from seeking help they need to recover,” said the Department.

WHAT IS WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY?

The day is observed on 10 October every year. To raise awareness about mental health issues, promote mental well-being, and advocate for support and resources for individuals facing mental health challenges. It’s an important day to reduce stigma and encourage conversations surrounding mental health.
