Second babies set to join Springbok families in 2025

In 2023, the Springboks won the Rugby World Cup, and several players revealed they were expecting their first babies. Now, many of them are preparing for baby number two!

EBEN AND ANLIA ETZEBETH

Springboks lock Eben Etzebeth and his wife, singer and actress Anlia Etzebeth, welcomed their first child in January 2024.

HANDRE AND MARISE POLLARD

Springboks fly-half Handre Pollard and his wife, Marise, celebrated the arrival of their first child, a baby boy named Hunter Andre Pollard, in April 2024. The couple is now expecting a baby girl.

“Pilates in front of the fireplace with rain falling on the farmhouse sink roof, happy Monday & 22 weeks baby girl ☁️,” she wrote.

FAF AND MINE DE KLERK

Faf and Mine de Klerk welcomed their first child together in February 2024. The de Klerk’s are gearing up to welcome their second baby girl in November.

“We are so excited for our little one arriving in November — how exciting! 🍼🎀 Welcoming a baby girl is such a joyful time, and there’s so much beautiful baby gear @bubbadue to make it even more special,” she wrote.

EDWILL AND NADINE VAN DER MERVE

In July, Springboks winger Edwill van der Merve and his wife Nadine announced that they are expecting their first child together.
