2025 SASSA GRANT-IN-AID
As such, the South African Social Security Agency makes 2025 SASSA Grant-in-Aid available only to those who require full-time, at-home care. The additional money funds care services at your home. After April’s increases this year, SASSA pays R560 for the 2025 Grant-in-Aid. This matches the SASSA Child Support Grant, which more than 14 million residents receive. To qualify for the 2025 SASSA Grant-in-Aid, you must already receive a ‘core’ grant. The state also requires that you cannot fully care for yourself and therefore need at-home care.
HOW TO PROVE YOU NEED CARE
While SASSA is making every effort to verify the identities of all its clients, so people don’t take advantage of the scheme, how does it verify 2025 SASSA Grant-in-Aid exactly? If you believe you need the extra money, you must consult a private or government doctor. The doctor must provide a medical assessment confirming you require full-time care from SASSA. Make sure the report is no older than three months when you apply for the grant. SASSA will exclude anyone receiving care in a state-run facility.
PAYMENT DATES FOR 2025
The agency has released a full list of remaining payment dates for all grants till March 2026. Depending on which grant you receive, be sure to diarise the dates above, so you’re never caught short.
