Another group of South African “refugees” arrived in the US under the resettlement programme for racial minorities, including Afrikaners and white farmers.

This group became the third known contingent to travel to America through President Trump’s offer to victims of “racial discrimination.”

In February, Trump signed an Executive Order that fast-tracked the relocation of predominantly white South Africans after he suspended the US refugee programme for other countries.

SOUTH AFRICAN ‘REFUGEES’ ARRIVE IN US

US intelligence expert Chris Wyatt reported that another group of South African “refugees” arrived in the country on Thursday, 28 August.

Officials redirected the group to temporary placements, where they received housing, food, and resources to support their resettlement in their new country.

They also received a “start-up” loan to help them get on their feet.

“Don’t sit out there on your bum. Go get a job and start paying taxes”, the retired military officer advised the group via his YouTube channel.

The outspoken political analyst also argued with Minister of International Relations Ronald Lamola’s criticism of the US’s “preferential treatment of a particular privileged group” and questioned the group’s status as “refugees”.

He said, “They are definitely under the UN’s definition of refugees. [That is] …people facing persecution over their race”

‘EMIGRATION OF SOUTH AFRICANS…WHO HAPPEN TO BE AFRIKANERS’

Speaking in a media conference on Wednesday, International Relations Minister Ronald Lamola admonished the actions of the US government – under President Donald Trump – in accusing South Africa of promoting racial discrimination.

The minister also rubbished Trump’s refugee resettlement programe, opened to white South Africans, Afrikaners, and other racial minorities.

He said: “With our history… preferential treatment of a particular privileged group, the Afrikaners, who are not running away from any genocide in this country, is definitely Apartheid 2.0”.

“This is a clear emigration preference of a particular group in South Africa that happens to be Afrikaners.”

Lamola – who was part of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s delegation to the White House in May – added: “We have maintained that as the South African government, we don’t agree that this is a refugee programme. Because there is no genocide in South Africa.

“In line with the UN Convention, the Afrikaners that are going to the US do not fit the definition of a refugee”.
