Here’s the weather outlook for South Africa’s nine provinces.
The South African Weather Service is warning that Severe Thunderstorms with heavy downpours, hail and strong winds may lead to flooding.

Yellow level 4 warning: Severe Thunderstorms with heavy downpours leading to flooding of low-lying areas, susceptible roads and bridges, as well as large amounts of small hail and strong damaging winds leading to damage of infrastructure, settlements, vehicles and livestock are expected in the northeastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal.
B. Yellow level 2 warning: Severe Thunderstorms with heavy downpours leading to localised flooding of low-lying areas, susceptible roads and bridges, as well as large amounts of small hail and strong damaging winds, leading to localised damage of infrastructure, settlements, vehicles and livestock are expected over Gauteng, Mpumalanga, eastern parts of the Northern Cape as well as the western parts of the

Weather conditions and UVB forecast in South Africa’s provinces
Gauteng
Gauteng can expect cloudy and warm but cool in places with scattered showers and thundershowers.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index is Moderate
Mpumalanga
Mpumalanga, the Place of the Rising Sun, can expect Morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers.
Limpopo
In Limpopo, morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and warm but hot in the Lowveld with scattered showers and thundershowers.
North West
North West, known as Bokone Bophirima in Setswana, can expect partly cloudy and warm, with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated over the western parts.
Free State
In Free State, morning fog patches over the extreme eastern parts, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm, with scattered showers and thundershowers.
Northern Cape
The day will start fine to Partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers in the east. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southeasterly to southerly
Western Cape
Cloudy to partly cloudy and cool to warm but hot over the northern parts of the West Coast district, becoming fine from the west from the morning spreading to east from the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southeasterly to easterly becoming strong from the evening but light along the south coast until the afternoon.

Eastern Cape
The Western half: Partly cloudy in the west at first, otherwise cloudy and cool with isolated thundershowers in the north-east, and isolated showers and rain in the south-east in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate westerly, becoming moderate to fresh easterly in the afternoon.
The Eastern half: The day will start cloudy and cool with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the west. The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate southwesterly, becoming south-easterly in the afternoon but north-easterly in the evening.
KwaZulu-Natal
Morning fog over the interior, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers, but widespread over the extreme north-eastern parts. The wind along the coast will be moderate northerly to north-easterly north of Cape St Lucia at first, otherwise fresh to strong southerly to south-westerly, becoming light to moderate south-easterly to easterly south of Durban from late afternoon.
