ZUMA’S DAUGHTER X POST CAUSE STIRRED EMOTIONS

Daughter of former president Zuma and Dlamini Zuma, Thuthulike Zuma went on to X to praise her parents and including herself saying she is a proud member and leader of the ANC.

“These are my parents. I am so proud to be born of these two human beings. I am also proud to be a member and leader of the ANC. Both are my realities and both will never change!”. wrote @Thuthu_Zuma

In an interview with Newzroom Afrika Zuma said what prompted the tweet was that it is the truth and that was her thoughts in that moment and assured in the interview that on her X account she posts whatever comes to mind.

” With regards, to people trying to pull me in different directions, I have one direction and that being member and the leader of the ANC and greater Johannesburg,” said Zuma.

Many had responded to her tweet criticising her tweet.

‘You are part of an organization that stoop to the lowest level and insults your father.” wrote @DirksMervyn

Zuma mentions in the interview with Newzroom Afrika that people will always have their opinion.

Zuma said “People will always have their views and their views and opinions did not start on the 16 of December, they started really as far as I can remember, I don’t remember a time when people did not have views about my parents and ,by extension views about me , that has kind of been my reality.”

Zuma said she remains focused as she is an activist of the ANC.

She joined the youth league at the age of 16 and it was because of her consciousness and her political convictions.

In the interview she stated that she did not know the details of the formation of the MK Party but says its unfortunate for the ANC to lose a member.

“After the elections the ANC must introspect on how it manages internal contradictions to avoid such a situation,” said Zuma.

Zuma feels that the ANC needs to find a way to manage internal contradictions and ensure it remains hegemonic across South Africa.
