South Africans will have the chance to play for a guaranteed R130 million PowerBall jackpot on Friday, 10 October, marking the largest jackpot of 2025, according to ITHUBA, operators of the national lottery in the country.

“This guaranteed R130 million is a symbol of possibility, hope, and the chance to transform ordinary lives into extraordinary ones,” said Charmaine Mabuza, CEO of ITHUBA.

Increased Prize Payouts: More for the Players

Meanwhile, in a further boost to players, ITHUBA also announced that the overall prize payout has been increased from 48% to 50%, meaning more winnings across all prize divisions.

“We are proud to announce the increase in our prize payout to 50%, ensuring that more of every rand spent goes back to South Africans,” Mabuza added.

Alongside the headline draw, the PowerBall Plus jackpot currently stands at R18 million, offering players another opportunity to change their fortunes.
