Belgian football coach Luc Eymael has claimed that he can take Kaizer Chiefs back to the top.

Eymael seems to have prepared a pitch to get the Kaizer Chiefs coach job.

In 2020, Eymael was sacked by Young Africans of Tanzania for allegedly racially abusing fans.

However, Eymael has since gone on to work in Libya, Tunisia and the DRC.

The coach wants to get his hands on the Glamour Boys.

“We tried to discuss with Kaizer Chiefs, they knew my position, they knew my CV, I don’t know why they decided to go with Cavin Johnson,” – Eymael told KickOff.

“After Cavin Johnson won some games some people started to call him a Messiah.

“Not to criticise anybody, but I think Kaizer Chiefs have a very good team this season, lacking only one or two things.

“One thing is for sure, again, it’s going to be a white season for them. They will not win any title because they can’t be league champions, Nedbank Cup they are out, they lost the Carling Cup.

“It’s been a long time now since they won any trophy.

He also said: “My work is talking for me after we succeeded at Free State Stars after 24 years of not winning any trophies.

“I have some idea for Kaizer Chiefs on how we can improve the team, only if I can be allowed to share my idea with the Chiefs board, but the board seems not to be interested in me,” the coach added.

BELGIAN BELIEVES HE CAN GIVE AMAKHOSI ‘GUTS’

Eymael also feels that he could harden Kaizer Chiefs into a winning machine.

“They have a good team to compete, but unfortunately, they couldn’t. There’s a problem with the competition for places, the desire for trophies, the guts of being consistent, the guts of winning, the guts to take every game like a final. I can bring back all that.

“What I will say to the Chiefs players it’s the same thing I said to my boys at Free State Stars. At one stage we were number 2 in the league.

“When you enter the pitch wearing a Kaizer Chiefs kit you must aim for a win, this is one the biggest teams in Africa. Such clubs are all about winning trophies. You must hate losing.

“I contacted Chiefs some weeks before they announced Cavin Johnson as a head coach. It was at that time when my agent spoke to Kaizer Motaung Jnr, and the response was not a positive one.

“I wrote him an email, and he said what my agent told me is not true, and that he doesn’t even know who my agent was.”
