Soccer Laduma have revealed that Kaizer Chiefs might be eager to open talks with the stopper.

The 27-year-old is enjoying a fantastic Africa Cup of Nations with the Super Eagles, having appeared in all three games as they advanced to the competition’s Last 16 after defeating Guinea-Bissau 1-0 on Monday.

He has given up only one goal as Nigeria won two and drew one of their three games to finish second in Group A, level with Equatorial Guinea on points.

Nwabili has also been performing regularly for the Chilli Boys this season, which has apparently piqued Amakhosi’s attention.

Against all odds, Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro chose to start Stanley Nwabili in goal over his favourite pick, Francis Uzoho and that decision had paid off for him.

The tactician’s 25-man team for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast includes goalkeepers Uzoho, Nwabili, and Ojo Olorunleke.

But it was Nwabili who started Nigeria’s first match of the tournament against Equatorial Guinea.
