Kaizer Chiefs will be without two of their foreign internationals during this FIFA break after they were called up by their respective national teams.

It is now common knowledge that South African-born players at Amakhosi have not done to impress Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos.

And this has been in the news for quite some time now, with rival fans often deeming Chiefs players as average.

Nonetheless, not all the individuals within the Amakhosi squad are average, and this is evident from the latest developments.

KAIZER CHIEFS ALLOW TWO FOREIGN INTERNATIONALS TO LEAVE NATURENA

Now, Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed two call-ups for their foreign internationals In co-coach Cedric Kaze and striker Flavio da Silva.

Kaze has jetted off to his native country, Burundi, to help the national team technical team in the next week or so.

Burundi have a trip to Chad to play an international friendly on Friday, on 27 March before hosting the same opponents on 31 March.

Da Silva, on the other hand, is part of the Guinea-Bissau squad that will face Burkina Faso on 28 and 31 March.

DA SILVA QUIETLY ON THE RISE

Da Silva, 29, has done his job quietly since joining Amakhosi in July 2025.

The lanky striker has five league goals in 13 matches this season, and he’s the club’s leading goalscorer.

Overall, the Guinea-Bissau international has seven goals in 27 matches across all competitions for the Glamour Boys.
