South Africa will come to a standstill this afternoon when Kaizer Chiefs host rivals Orlando Pirates at the FNB Stadium.

Both sides have struggled to get going in this season’s DStv Premiership campaign, making today’s three points all the more valuable.

Kaizer Chiefs have picked up just 14 points from their opening 11 matches while Orlando Pirates have managed just 12 points from their opening nine matches.

ORLANDO PIRATES TRIO TO MISS KAIZER CHIEFS MATCH

Orlando Pirates are set to be without THREE key players due to injury. Innocent Maela, Sipho Chaine and Paseka Mako are all still recovering from injury and won’t play any part this afternoon, a club report confirmed.

Action at the FNB Stadium gets underway at 15:30. The match will be televised live on SuperSport PSL and SABC1.

“I think this one will be different because of the situation that both teams find themselves in.” – Kaizer Chiefs star Keagan Dolly said ahead of today’s Soweto derby as quoted by Citizen.

“This time it is not only about the bragging rights, and having the edge over each other but more about the three points. The three points are more important for us to climb higher up the log.

“For us as Kaizer Chiefs, we have discussed it in the dressing room after last night’s game that the remaining games, we have to try and win them. There is no difference with this one on Saturday, we want to bag the three points and keep the momentum.”
