Rassie Erasmus rubbishes rumours of Ireland move
Rassie Erasmus says he is NOT trading SA Rugby and the Springboks for a top job in Ireland.
According to recent reports, Rassie Erasmus was said to be a sought after candidate to come in as Ireland Rugby’s performance director to replace David Nucifora, who stated last October that he would be leaving his post within the next two years.

RASSIE ERASMUS LINKED WITH MOVE ABROAD
The IRFU are apparently already looking to draw up a list of possible replacements, and Erasmus – who previously coached at Munster – was once touted as a strong candidate along with former Ireland coach Joe Schmidt.
Although there was no sign of a formal offer, there were some suggestions that Rassie Erasmus could apparently be open to the move, with a so-called clause in his contract even reportedly enabling him to leave earlier than 2025 when his current SA Rugby deal ends.
I’M NOT FOLLOWING JACQUES NIENABER TO IRELAND
But Rassie put an end to the rumours on Monday during a press conference in Paris when he categorically denied ever considering any kind of move to Ireland in the near future.
“No, no, no,” he said. “There have been no talks and there is no truth in that. I am not sure where it started but definitely not. I haven’t chatted to them and I am definitely not following Jacques [Nienaber].”
