Royal AM will be without the services of one of the club’s key players when they face Kaizer Chiefs.

The two teams meet at the Harry Gwala Stadium in the DStv Premiership on Sunday afternoon.

John Maduka’s side have been dealt a major suspension blow in the form of captain Samuel Manganyi.

The 36-year-old defender misses out due to suspension as a result of yellow card accumulation.

In other news, former Kaizer Chiefs defender Thomas Sweswe has opened up on the current state of affairs at Naturena.

Despite signing a host of big-name players during recent years, the Glamour Boys have gone nine years without lifting silverware.

According to Sweswe, the club are heading into the right direction under Cavin Johnson; however, there’s one position that needs desperate attention.

WE NEED A GOALSCORER – THOMAS SWESWE

“I don’t think the team is doing too badly. Since coach Cavin Johnson took over, the performances have improved, but I still think they need a striker. One that can score goals for a living,” the former Kaizer Chiefs man told SoccerLaduma.

“They have all the other departments well balanced, but the striking department has not been doing very well.

“So I hoped that in January they would look at that department and bring in a top finisher to ease the pressure on the other strikers in the team. That’s what we really needed in January.”
