Kaizer Chiefs are actively looking to bolster their goalkeeping department up and the club are reportedly considering one of the league’s consistent performers. According to reports, the Amakhosi have identified Richards Bay goalkeeper Salim Magoola as a potential Itumeleng Khune replacement.

SALIM MAGOOLA

Salim Magoola has been a shining light for the club since joining them at the beginning of last season. During a difficult Bay campaign, Magoola ended up being nominated for the Goalkeeper of the Season award which was eventually won by Ronwen Williams.

In total, the 28-year-old Ugandan international has made 38 appearances for Bay, keeping an impressive 14 clean-sheets for the struggling side!

“Salim Magoola is still an option for Chiefs. His name has come up again as an option although there have been no official talks. He is one of the players who will be closely monitored for the rest of the season as Chiefs are searching for a goalkeeper to add to the team for next season.” – a source told SoccerLaduma.
