Springbok Rohan Janse van Rensburg leaving the Sharks

The Sharks have lost the services of one of their capped Springboks, Janse van Rensburg who has signed a deal with Japanese side, the Canon Eagles.

Springbok Rohan Janse van Rensburg has secured a move to the Canon Eagles in Japan, effectively ending to his stint at the Sharks in his second season with the team.

Janse van Rensburg was officially confirmed as a new signing for Japanese Division One side Canon Eagles on Tuesday morning with a post on its social media channels announcing the club’s new recruit.

According to a press release from the club, the Springbok centre will join his new team with immediate effect.

“I’m very excited to join the Yokohama Canon Eagles team, it’s a real honour for me to represent the club and its people,” Janse van Rensburg said.

“I strive to help the team in any way possible and can’t wait to build long-lasting relationships within this season. I can’t wait to show you all as much of me as I can in this season.”

The Sharks are yet to comment on Janse van Rensburg’s move away from King Park.
