RESULTS BEFORE TONIGHT’S NEDBANK CUP FIXTURE

The last 16 rounds will continue after two teams already advanced midweek. AmaTuks defeated Moroka Swallows 2-1 in Tshwane.

Tebogo Mohlamonyane opened the scoring for AmaTuks just before the hour mark., Swallows made it 1-1 with 10 minutes to go through Lwanda Mbanjwa, but Thabang Sibanyoni snatched the winner in injury time after the 90th minute.

Thursday night’s Nedbank Cup fixture was Sekhukhune United hosting AmaZulu. The visitors from Durban bagged a 2-0 win. Sede Junior Dion scored in the 26th minute before Sepana Letsoalo slotted in the second in the 62nd minute.

MILFORD FC VS STELLENBOSCH FC

Tonight’s Nedbank Cup fixture is taking us to KwaZulu Natal. Motsepe Foundation Championship (MFC) side, Milford, who Kaizer Chiefs know very well, will host Stellies at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu, Durban.

Kick-off is set for 19:00.

NEDBANK CUP FIXTURES FOR THE REST OF THE WEEKEND

The most-anticipated game of the weekend will be defending champions Orlando Pirates hosting Hungry Lions from the MFC.

“One of the problems in cup competitions, for a team like us, it’s distraction. We want to be a good version of ourselves on Saturday,” Pirates coach Riveiro said about the Nedbank Cup fixture via IOL.

“We need to be focused – distractions after the derby are many. A lot of people, including the media, are still talking about it. It’s normal. But we need to quickly find ourselves … the international break is coming as well, with players going to their national teams.

“There are many factors that can distract us. And when you are distracted, you are unable to compete at your best. So, it’s our responsibility to keep the players on the right track and motivated,” the Spaniard concluded about the about the Nedbank Cup fixture.
