TINASHE NENGOMASHA UNDERSTANDS KAIZER CHIEFS FANS

It’s been nine seasons since Amakhosi lifted a trophy into the sky. According to the former midfield general, Nengomasha, the supporters have been justifiably upset.

“Chiefs is a team that needs players with a mentality that fits well with what is expected of them,” the Zimbabwean legend said via FARPost.

“When you see fans getting angry, it’s because they are not getting what they are used to. They are used to winning, and perhaps the calibre of players they see is not what they want. So, at the end of the day, you see that it’s much better to have a system of promoting the top players from juniors. Those ones will have a never-say-die spirit.

“It’s exactly the mentality I saw from the likes of Scara Ngobese during our playing days. Right now, it’s very different.

“My wish is to see that trend giving us results. Those boys carry the team at heart because they know the system well. They joined the team because of their love and passion for the club,” Nengomasha concluded.
