Bafana Bafana ended 2023 in 66th position overall in the world rankings, with the South African side having failed to make much progress on a consistent basis. However, after an incredible Afcon tournament that saw Bafana impressively take home the bronze medal, the latest predictors now indicate that they could notably rise to 59th. After the third-place match, coach Hugo Broos – who guided Bafana to their first medal in 24 years – celebrated the success of his team.
