VISA-FREE COUNTRIES

Here is a list of 5 highly favoured destinations for SA passport holders, mainly because no visas are required for entry. But also, because they are sun-drenched exotic places.

Here are 5 exciting countries you can travel to this December without needing an entry visa.

MAURITIUS

Mauritius is famous for its azure waters, powder-white beaches, and luxury resorts. But there’s so much more attraction to Mauritius than the beach.

There’s hiking in the forested and mountainous interior and world-class diving and snorkelling. There are boat trips to near-perfect islets and excursions to botanical gardens and colonial plantation houses.

Mauritius is an exciting culinary destination with pristine nature as well. Thus, it has been a longtime visa-free favourite for SA holidaymakers.

ZANZIBAR

Zanzibar is alluring. Its white sands and turquoise waters surround the island. African, Indian, Arabic and Persian influences intertwine in Stone Town to form a rich cultural backdrop.

Zanzibar’s beaches are idyllic. Fine white sands edge clear turquoise waters, and traditional Arabic dhows sail into the horizon, silhouetted against pastel-tinted skies. Coconut palms wave gently in the breeze.

The beaches on Zanzibar’s east coast and around its northern tip offer a quintessential tropical island paradise.
