The South African Weather Service (SAWS) have announced some of the future predictions for the festive season, urging people to be careful on the country’s roads – and at home.

Some of the festive season’s predictions includes more rain expected for some of the provinces, and more thunderstorms for the year.

WEATHER PREDICTIONS FOR THE FESTIVE SEASON

The SAWS have released some weather predictions for the festive season, which might impact Christmas arrangements for many South Africans over the holidays.

According to the details available, some of the predictions over December includes more rain and thunderstorms for the country’s provinces.

Kwazulu-Natal and Gauteng might prepare for more rainy conditions, while other provinces like the Western Cape might be affected by windy weather in the time to come.

MORE RAIN EXPECTED FOR THESE PROVINCES

More rain could be expected for Gauteng, North-West and Kwazulu-Natal: while no active storm warnings have been issued yet, more rain could be expected for these provinces during the rest of December.

MORE THUNDERSTORMS ALSO EXPECTED FOR SA

More thunderstorms could also be expected to hit the country in December, with a repeat potentially expected of the storms that affected South Africa in November and early-December.
