Springbok captain Victor Matfield was captured on camera having a bit of a Baywatch moment at the Rugby World Cup Bronze Medal match this evening in London.
World Rugby uploaded a Vine (video loop) of Matfield’s run onto the field at Olympic Stadium, after the team sung the anthem for the last time during RWC2015 (see video below).
Their message on Twitter said: “Baywatch eat your heart out. Rugby legend @VictorMatfield shows how it’s done. #RSAvARG” and added “A rugby legend has a Baywatch moment.”
At the time of posting this article (half-time) South Africa was leading 16-0 against Argentina, as the two battle it out to secure third place in the RWC. (Live updates below.)
