MotoGP tweeted: “It really doesn’t get much closer than that ? A huge leading group throughout the entire 20 lap saga, ending with a 3rd win on the trot for Brad Binder #41 at ‪#‎ItalianGP‬!”

Binder’s tactics today were perfect in that last lap to beat Italians Di Giannantonia and Francesco Bagnaia on their home territory.

Twenty-year-old Binder from Potchefstroom told journalists afterwards: “Today’s race was crazy, it was so difficult to plan. But on the last lap I made sure I was quite far back in the group so I could at least arrive in the top three into the first corner. It was so good to finally get another win, three in a row and it feels great.”

Two weeks ago Binder (Red Bull KTM Ajo) won the French Moto 3 grand prix at the legendary Le Mans’ Bugatti circuit, hot on the heels of his incredible April victory at the Spanish Moto3 Grand Prix when he began in last position.

The South African now leads by 49 points!
