In a very sweet scene in South Africa, a major golf tournament was brought to a temporary standstill when a band of mongooses (also known as a ‘curiosity of mongooses’) trotted onto the green… just as the golfers were poised to putt.

The pack of 20 mongooses (also known as a ‘curiosity of mongooses’ but apparently not called mongeese because they’re not related to geese) miraculously managed to avoid knocking any of the balls out of place! Watch video below.

The mongooses made their appearance at the Nedbank Golf Challenge which is currently being held at Sun City’s Gary Player Country Club.

It’s likely that they wandered over from the nearby Pilanesberg Game Reserve.
