Last night Andrea Ben posted a photo of this Umdloti fisherman on SAPeople’s Facebook page and asked followers to guess what he caught. Answers ranged from “a cold” to “the rock he was standing on”…

Here’s what the fisherman in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, really caught… a 2.2 metre sand shark:

“It took this fisherman 50 minutes to reel this shark in,” says Andrea.

“It was such an awesome experience watching him – he was so humane, he quickly tagged the shark and put it back gently into the ocean.”
