Watch this adorable female southern white rhinoceros calf run in slow motion. The calf was born on 5 October, out in the pasture at The Wilds in Ohio, USA, and is the second fifth-generation white rhino born outside of Africa, according to The Wilds. Both were born at The Wilds.

Dan Beetem, Director of Animal Management, says The Wilds is doing all it can to raise awareness in America, and conserve the rhino to prevent the species from becoming extinct.

The Wilds is a private, non-profit conservation centre located on nearly 10,000 acres of reclaimed mine land in rural southeastern Ohio.

The Wilds isn’t the only organisation abroad doing all it can to save South Africa’s rhino. Over in Sweden there’s a gym called Trana which holds an annual yoga day event… and this year, they not only raised awareness of the plight of the rhino, but also raised funds for rescued rhino at the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre (HESC). “They raised an impressive ZAR29,263 for which we are eternally grateful,” said HESC.
