While registration to vote – ahead of the 2019 elections – is underway, many South Africans and political leaders have been sharing pictures and videos on twitter.

As we all know ANC Head of Elections, Fikile Mbalula is no stranger to twitter.

He took to twitter urging voters to register and… vote for the opposition, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF)!

Well, leader of EFF Julius Malema did not waste any time in replying to Mbalula’s tweet.

 

“We agreed cde @mbalulaFikile that indeed our people must #RefisterToVoteEFF,” Malema tweeted.

In replying to Malema, Mabalula made it clear to Juju that it was a typo, “hai hai hai , it’s a typo chief”. He included a photo of himself in ANC gear:

We all know that twitter has no chill; people started tweeting photoshopped pictures of Mbalula in EFF gear instead, and wearing a red beret.

The above photo was swiftly photoshopped by EFF supporters.

Of course Mbalula is fully behind the ANC… up at 4am this morning, “walking the walk” with President Cyril Rampahosa through Soweto:
