Local Lesotho farmers, who have produced the southern African country’s first wine, are urging people around the world to please share their video so that their wine can reach Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in time for their wedding on 19 May 2018.

The Thamae family, producers of Sani Wines – have a unique present for the couple, and say, in a video message to the Prince, that it would be a great privilege “that the first wine from Lesotho will be served at your wedding”.

Using footage from the brilliant Invictus Games video that Prince Harry shot with the Queen, the Thamae family have replaced the original Michelle and Barack Obama message with their own. Boom!

In a Facebook message, they say:

We, the Thamae family, are local farmers from Lesotho, The Mountain Kingdom in the Sky in Southern Africa.

In 2008 we planted our first vines (Chenin Blanc) and added to that step by step. In 2014 we planted Pinotage.

We are happy to say that we are the first and only wine producers in Lesotho. Because Prince Henry of Wales has such a keen and heartfelt interest in our country and it’s people [including his Sentebale charity], we thought it would be nice to send him some of our wines to enhance the forthcoming wedding festivities on May 19th, when Prince Harry marries Ms. Megan Markle.

You could help us by sharing this short video…

We would like to accomplish that Prince Harry will see the video and have our wines play a minor role in the upcoming nuptial.

The family says the privilege to have their wine at the wedding would be for the whole “Kingdom in the Sky” – as they would see this as a “symbol of the future and progress” of Lesotho.
