“Basically there are no prospects for success‚” said NPA spokesman Phindi Mjonondwane on Monday.

Mjonondwane said,”The version of an independent eye witness who was allegedly present at the scene does not corroborate the version of the complainant.”

The worker Christine Wiro, has accused the former minister of pushing her down the stairs and threatening to deport her two months ago.

However, the charges were later withdrawn.

Later there was an audio clip which emerged of Manana allegedly trying to bribe Wiro with R100,000 to drop the charges.
