The British press has reported that millionaire businessman Shrien Dewani is in a relationship with a male photographer, four years after he was cleared of plotting to murder his wife Anni during their honeymoon in Cape Town, South Africa.

His new partner, with whom he allegedly lives in London, is named as Brazilian Gledison Lopez Martins. The two have been together for approximately 18 months and have posted several photos and videos of their life together on social media.

Anni’s father told the Mail Online that it “hurt us greatly” that Shrien visited Mumbai, which is featured in a video, with his new boyfriend… as it was the place where he married 28-year-old Swedish engineer Anni.

It was soon after their wedding in 2010 that Anni was murdered, while the couple were honeymooning in Cape Town. The taxi they were travelling in was allegedly hijacked by robbers, and while he escaped she was murdered.

On day one of the highly publicised trial in Cape Town, Shrien did reveal he was bisexual. This week, Anni’s father said it was an “utter disgrace” he had kept that secret from Anni.

Vinod said: “Now I learn that he has fallen for another man. That is no surprise. I am not against gay people in any way at all. Just this man.”

An uncle in Sweden, Ashok, told The Sun: “If Shrien had told us the truth about his sexuality before the marriage, Anni would never have married him or gone to South Africa where she was shot dead.”

Shrien had told Anni’s father he didn’t want sex before marriage, which had impressed her dad. It turned out – during the court hearings – that he was paying a male prostitute for sex.

“Why the f*** did he get married if he knew he was gay? He was lying to me all this time,” her dad told the MailOnline.

The three men who were given jail sentences for Anni’s murder claimed he had arranged the hijacking, although he denied this strongly, and a South African court cleared him of murder.

His own family have reportedly welcomed his new partner into their lives.
