South Africa’s Ndlovu Youth Choir: “Hollywood, Here We Come!” WATCH Them Perform Waka Waka!

On Tuesday night South Africa’s Ndlovu Youth Choir sang their HEARTS out for America – exciting the crowd with an extremely high energy cover of ‘Wake Waka!” on America’s Got Talent (AGT) 2019. Watch below. (They had us with the first word – “AFRICA…”)

And in just three days the video has attracted over 1.8 million views!

Their rendition of Waka Waka earned the Ndlovu Youth Choir yet another standing ovation at America’s Got Talent. (Watch the SA choir’s audition here.)

And along the way, they’re flying the flag so high for South Africa.

The judges couldn’t praise them enough. “We don’t see choirs like you! I mean you guys dance, you sing… what you represent is unity and collectiveness”, “art and music are the greatest ambassadors for any country and you guys… it’s an amazing thing”, “your energy, everything that you represent – pure magic”.

“This one’s for Africa,” said AGT on social media.

Simon Cowell added: “I’ve always loved seeing you guys perform. I don’t know what it is – it’s like if I could bottle it, I would drink it every day…”

On Facebook AGT said: “Ndlovu Youth Choir effortlessly captures every soul in the room. 👏”  

The day after their performance, Ndlovu Youth Choir admitted: “Never in our most amazing dreams did we think this could happen, we are through to the America’s Got Talent live rounds! Hollywood here we come!!! 🙌🏾🇿🇦🇺🇸”
