Demi Leigh Tebow was the second South African woman to win the Miss Universe pageant in 2017, where is she now?
The Miss Universe 2023 pageant takes place on Saturday 18 November in El Salvador, here’s a look at where South African-born Demi Leigh Tebow, who was crowned Miss Universe in 2017, is now.
Miss SA runner up Bryoni Govender is representing South Africa at this year’s Miss Universe pageant. She has already been dubbed a front runner for the international pageant.

WHO IS DEMI LEIGH TEBOW?
Demi-Leigh is a model, philanthropist and businesswoman. She was crowned Miss SA in 2017 and went on to represent South Africa at the Miss Universe pageant that same year. The beauty queen then became the second South African to be crowned Miss Universe, following Margaret Gardiner in 1978.
The Miss Universe 2017 titleholder attended a boarding school in George, Western Cape. The model went on to attain a Bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurial Studies from the North-West University in Potchefstroom.

Demi always dreamt of being Miss SA and a woman Mzansi could be proud of.
“I always knew I wanted to be a Miss South Africa type of woman; one who represents her country by leading with passion and purpose. I wanted to be someone my fellow South Africans could be proud of,” she said according to The Sun.

WHERE IS MISS UNIVERSE 2017 NOW?
The beauty queen is now married to ex-NFL quarterback Tim Tebow. The pair met through his foundation – Tim Tebow Foundation after Demi-Leigh’s late sister, Franje, was invited to one of their events. Demi began dating the former NFL star in 2018 and he proposed the following January. A year later the pair tied the knot in Cape Town.
Since being crowned Miss Universe, the model moved to the US. She currently lives in Jacksonville, Florida, according to her Instagram.
The beauty queen recently returned home to South Africa in late October, in time for the Rugby World Cup final where the Springboks beat the All Blacks.
She then returned back home and shared a family photo with her husband and dogs.
