Queen Elizabeth II: Secretary details her ‘peaceful’ last moments

Royal private secretary Sir Edward Young detailed the final moments at Balmoral Castle when Queen Elizabeth II died.

The late Queen Elizabeth II passed away peacefully according to her private secretary who detailed her final moments.

QUEEN ELIZABETH II PASSED AWAY ‘PEACEFULLY’

Queen Elizabeth II’s private secretary Sir Edward Young revealed that the late monarch’s final moments were “very peaceful” according to the Daily Mail. The document was lodged in the Royal Archives but has not been made public until now.

“Very peaceful,” Young wrote.

“In her sleep. Slipped away. Old age. She wouldn’t have been aware of anything. No pain,” he continued.

WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE QUEEN’S DEATH

Queen Elizabeth II died on 8 September 2022.

She was at her beloved Balmoral Castle in Scotland at the time of her death.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl told Page Six that it was always the monarch’s wish to die at Balmoral Castle.

Queen Elizabeth II died on Sept. 8 2022 at the age of 96 at her beloved Balmoral Castle in Scotland. The Queen’s cousin, Lady Elizabeth Shakerly told Nicholl that Balmoral Castle was where she felt most at peace – in a 2020 interview.

According to the National Records of Scotland, the monarch died from “old age.”
