South Africans in New York city are almost as excited as Black Coffee himself for tomorrow night’s show at Madison Square Garden (Saturday 7 October 2023). It’s going to be a dream come true for the SA musician.

Black Coffee has been counting the sleeps! A couple of days ago he wrote on social media: “3 more sleeps until @thegarden!!!” Yesterday, he posted: “The dream is becoming a reality…See you Saturday, NYC ❤️🗽🙏🏿”

Instagram group @saffasinnyc – for South Africans in New York – invited fellow South Africans to join them as they head to see “our brother @realblackcoffee’s historic show at Madison Square Garden as the first South African DJ to headline the iconic venue”.

Proud South Africans are invited to hang out at Juniper Restaurant and Bar (next to Penn station) for a “fun Saffas Pregame”… and “then we’ll walk together to MSG for the show”. Juniper’s is obviously free entry, and MSG tickets can be bought on Ticket Master.

The SA group, which passiotely advocates for SA, says: “We’re all in for our brother @realblackcoffee ‘s historic night. It promises to be an evening of pride, joy, elation, celebration of life and the artistic greatness of Kwazulu-Natal’s very own son @realblackcoffee

“As a South African it’s an occasion you don’t want to miss. Tell your friend about it, tell them to tell their friends and then… wabona kereng? Jy vrystan Mos?
