With an influx of people and traffic expected in the Green Point Precinct, parking will be limited in and around the stadium.

To minimise traffic congestion in the precinct, the City is availing a free MyCiTi shuttle service for ticket holders to travel to the DHL Stadium.

Buses will depart from the Civic Centre, CTICC, Thibault Square MyCiTi stations from 07:30 on Saturday and Sunday.

The bus will run on demand.

The last bus from the DHL stadium to the Civic Centre will leave at 21:30.

Exciting event

According to Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, Alderman JP Smith, ‘the second weekend in December is one many of our residents and visitors look forward to every year because of this exciting event. To ensure that everyone can enjoy the festivities without any impediments, the City’s Events Coordinating Committee has been working with the event organiser and  SAPS behind the scenes putting all the logistical and safety measures in place to ensure the players and fans have a memorable experience.  The City is availing the MyCiTi service for free to ticket holders to get to the stadium and we encourage fans to make use of the service. For those who want to walk to the stadium, there will be deployment of safety and security personnel along the Fan Walk in Green Point. We implore those driving to the event to please refrain from parking illegally or blocking residential driveways with their vehicle. It’s all systems go from our side and we are looking forward to hosting the thousands of fans in our beautiful city’.

Traffic Management

SVNS Cape Town ticket holders are encouraged to utilise a park-and-ride system where they park their vehicles in the city centre and take the MyCiTi shuttle to the stadium.
