RIA VILJOEN, who was on holiday in Cape Town last month, took this video in Blouberg of the calmness and beauty of the ocean to capture the memory and take it home with her to Pretoria.
For all those around the country and overseas, she says: “Stand with me a while in the sea, listen to the peaceful breathing of the blue ‘dam’, see the calm rising and then the subsiding of the swells, feel the gentle kiss of loving departure against our feet, smell the sea and know that for now, it is just bye-bye…for surely we will return.”
