The 2023 Wimbledon prize money figure has been revealed after Carlos Alcaraz defeated 23-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic on Sunday, 16 July.

The 20-year-old Spanish sensation beat the defending champion 1-6 7-6 6-1 3-6 6-4 in an epic battle on centre court. The Serbian was on course to win his fifth Wimbledon title in a row, according to The Independent.

HOW MUCH ALCARAZ AND VONDROUSOVA POCKETED FROM THE 2023 WIMBLEDON PRIZE MONEY

Czech star Marketa Vondrousova defeated Ons Jabeur on Saturday, 15 July becoming the first unseeded player to win the Wimbledon women’s title in the Open era, according to The South African.

Alcaraz and Vondrousova collected £2.35million in prize money with the losing finalists pocketing £1.175m. According to The Mirror, the total prize money pot increased by close to 11% compared to 2022.

The prize money totaled £32 154 000 or R757 338 595.92.
