Having to let your dog out and back in again quickly can be bothersome. It’s even worse when you have to take them for a walk just for a short pee.

However, don’t make your dog hold it in for too long. It can lead to accidents in the house and make them unwell.

Typically, adult dogs need to pee three to five times a day. They can hold it for 8 to 10 hours under normal circumstances.

A normal dog usually pees between 10ml and 20ml of urine per pound of body weight daily.

For instance, a 60-pound Labrador should release between 600ml and 1200ml of liquid in 24 hours.

If you observe changes in your dog’s urination frequency, volume, or difficulties during outdoor activities, keep an eye on the situation and consult a vet.

It might indicate a bladder infection or UTI, but it could also be a symptom of a more severe issue.

Increased or decreased dog pee can be caused by a UTI, which is quite common.

Watch out for additional signs like accidents in the house, blood in the urine, or excessive licking of the area.

These symptoms could also indicate other issues like poisoning or cancer.

If you’re worried about your dog’s health, it’s best to visit a vet as soon as possible for proper evaluation and treatment.
