PRINCESS DIANA’S AUDIO TAPES FROM 1990S REVEALED

In a series of audio tapes from the 1990s, Princess Diana revealed that King Charles was disappointed that Harry was a boy and not a girl. So much so that he didn’t even speak to her stepmother Raine Spencer, according to CNN.

“Because at Harry’s Christening, Charles went up to mummy and said, ‘You know we were so disappointed, we thought it would be a girl,” said Diana in audio clips accessed by ABC’s Good Morning America.

“And mummy snapped his head off and said, ‘You should realize how lucky you are to have a child that’s normal,’” said Diana.

Diana had arranged for the delivery of her audio tapes to her biographer Andrew Morton.

KING CHARLES ‘OPEN TO RELATIONSHIP’ WITH PRINCE HARRY

The audio tapes come after royal author Ingrid Seward said that King Charles is “open” to mending his relationship with Prince Harry “so long as he no longer tried to push him around,” according to Hindustan Times.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle stepped down as senior working members of the royal family in 2020. Tension also began to rise after the Duke and Duchess of Sussexes bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021. The couple claimed that there were concerns of the skin colour of their son Archie.

Adding to the rift, Prince Harry’s memoir Spare also caused some tension between the Sussexes and the royal family.

Seward said that the Duke of Sussex is “too stubborn to plot any route back” and insisted now would be the perfect time for them to reconcile.

“Despite the huge deterioration in trust, I suspect Charles would be open to having a relationship with Harry so long as he no longer tried to push him around. And a visit to Balmoral – the secluded spot where the Queen was happiest – could have been the perfect place for that to happen,” said Seward to The Sun.
