Eskom: This week’s load shedding schedule
Load shedding will continue to be suspended during the day, only moving to Stage 2 in the evenings in the early part of the week ahead.
Power utility Eskom confirmed in a X post on Sunday that load shedding will continue to be suspended during the day, only moving to Stage 2 in the evenings in the early part of the week ahead.
“The suspension of daytime load shedding from 05:00 until 16:00 and the implementation of Stage 2 load shedding from 16:00 until 05:00 thereafter will remain until further notice,” said the utility.
This may change, as a total of 3 330MW of generation capacity is expected to return to service by Wednesday.
Eskom confirmed it would communicate should any significant changes occur.
The power utility pleaded with the public to switch off non-essential appliances to reduce the demand, especially between 17:00 and 21:00.
