The divorce battle between rapper Emtee – real name Mthembeni Ndevu – and his estranged wife, Nicole Kendall Chinsamy, has turned uglier.

NICOLE CHINSAMY ACCUSES EMTEE OF BEING A DRUGGIE

In a police statement she filed at the Midrand Police Station in Johannesburg, the mother-of-three accused the father of her kids of being a drug addict – Sunday World reports.

The allegations were made when she opened a case of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm (GBH) against the Manando rapper, which she later withdrew.

“The complainant alleges that her husband is assaulting her and invading her privacy on social media.

“The husband is known as Mthembeni Ndevu, with a contact number (number withheld). The complainant alleges that he is also a drug user. Case docket opened for further police investigations.”

However, Nicole did not name the type of drugs, and the allegations were not tested in court, the publication reports.

EMTEE RUBBISHES DRUG CLAIMS ONCE AGAIN

This is not the first time that Emtee is accused of using drugs. In March this year, the award-winning musician slammed the rumours on social media.

“All this drug talk is pissin’ me off. I even quit lean. I been sober for a minute, so don’t come to me with that drug talk sh**. I’m done with that life! Stop tryna push agendas here, misunu,” he wrote in a tweet.

He again denied them when Sunday World contacted him.

“Firstly, I don’t know what she is talking about because I’m not on drugs,” he said.

MESSY DIVORCE BATTLE

The former couple called it quits in March after Emtee was arrested for allegedly assaulting Nicole – accusations the muso has repeatedly denied.

In April, a month before they welcomed their third baby, she extended an olive branch and withdrew the charges. In the same month, the hip hop artist filed for divorce, as reported by TshisaLIVE in May.

Nicole then accused him of trying to bankrupt their joint estate after he allegedly transferred over R500 000 from their trust account, Sunday World reported. However, Emtee later undertook to pay back the money.

According to the court papers, wherein she filed an interdict to force Emtee to pay back the money he transferred, Nicole revealed that they married in community of property in 2019.

She stated that she wanted the trust fund untouched until they finalised their divorce. In addition, the court interdict was to stop Emtee from taking loans against their assets, squandering their assets, depleting the bank account of Emtee Records or trust account or selling shares in Africa Trap Movement, as she says that she, too, is entitled to the assets.

While Nicole says Emtee has shares, stakes and/or assets in Emtee Records and African Trap Movement, she admits that she does not know the value. She, on the other hand, reportedly does not own any assets except a laptop, cellphone, jewellery and clothing, which is estimated at R100 000.
