Matric results: Easy Steps to check results online

Exams have come to an end and the time to receive your matric results is coming up. Here are easy steps to check your matric results online.

Receiving Matric results is an important moment in any matriculant’s life. Whether you are planning to enter the workforce or pursuing higher education, knowing your performance matters.

To check your Matric results online, you need your ID number and examination number. You can confirm the latter with your school or Matric paperwork.

EASY STEPS TO CHECK MATRIC RESULTS ONLINE

To check Matric results online, visit the Department of Education’s Matric portal. Enter your examination number, confirm personal details, and your results will appear.

For IEB or SACAI Matric systems, check results online using the respective portals; all you need to do is enter your ID and examination numbers for a similar process.

To receive results via SMS, text your ID and examination numbers to 35658, according to Searche. Sign up beforehand or use USSD code 12035658# post-release, free of charge.

RELEASE DATES?

Today, 6 December 2023, the 2023 National Senior Certificate exams concluded. Minister Angie Motshekga will announce the results on 18 January 2024.

Candidates are advised to collect result statements from their exam venue. Results will be online at 6 a.m. on 19 January, 2024. Any result-related queries must be submitted within 30 days of release.

FEES FOR REMARK

Candidates can apply for re-marking or re-checking of exam scripts for a fee. Register at school, the district office, or online. Deadline: February 2, 2024.

Fees: Re-mark: R120, Re-Check: R29 per subject. Viewing scripts post-remark/check, fee R234, deadline 7 days post results.

The re-mark results will be released on March 15, 2024, and will be available at the school or exam center where the candidate wrote their 2023 exams.

Ensure the correct names and ID numbers are on your result statement. Report corrections to the Department before 21 February, 2024.
