The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has issued a cautionary notice to the public regarding fraudulent email correspondence falsely attributed to the SABC about TV Licences.

The emails, purportedly originating from the address jjm@mega.bw (TV Licence Board), threaten recipients with arrest warrants for non-payment of TV Licence fees.

It is important for the public to disregard any communication received from the aforementioned email address, as it does not represent the SABC.

The Corporation affirms that it does not engage in the practice of issuing threats of arrest to individuals regarding TV Licence payments
