The South African website can confirm that the Springboks will wear their green and gold kit in this weekend’s 2023 Rugby World Cup quarter-final against France.

The clash at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis will take place on Sunday, 15 October.

Kick-off is at 21:00 (SA time).

While Springbok fans will no doubt be thrilled to learn that the Springboks will don their traditional strip, they may well be bemused as to why World Rugby gave them the green light to do so.

France will also wear their usual dark blue jerseys which bears a striking resemblance to that of Scotland’s.

South African fans will need no reminding that when the Springboks played Scotland in their opening Pool B match, they were forced to do so in their controversial alternate ‘hyper-jade’ kit.
