Desperate Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro is under pressure to return to winning ways in the DStv Premiership ahead of the Soweto Derby as they have gone four games without a win.

Pirates will face Sekhukhune United on Tuesday night and Rivieiro now wants a win to ease the pressure even if it comes ugly.

As they have gone four matches without a victory in the league to be in a disappointing position 13 on the log table with just nine points from eight games – Pirates are now six points above bottom-placed Cape Town Spurs.

“It’s important [to win before the Chiefs game] and mainly because we are playing for three points and we need points,” Riveiro said per TimesLIVE.

While the result may suggest Pirates’ overall performance has been shocking, that’s far from the truth as Riveiro’s side have enjoyed a lot of dominance over their opponents.

Additionally, the Spaniard is now targeting an ugly win over Ba Bina Noko who also reportedly parted ways with coach Brandon Truter.

“I’d rather play a [ugly] game and win it, get the three points and get a boost, and go to the derby as good as possible,” adds Riveiro.
