Junior Khanye names two Euro-worthy Bafana players

Junior Khanye has named two Bafana Bafana players who stood out to him during the AFCON who he deemed worthy of Euro deals.

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye has named two Bafana Bafana players he feels deserve to play in Europe.

In an interview with iDiski TV, Khanye believes it would be difficult for Mamelodi Sundowns to hold on to Ronwen Williams and Teboho Mokoena.

This was on the back of Bafana Bafana’s 4-2 penalty shootout loss to the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the semi-finals.

Both Williams and Mokoena starred for the South Africans since the end start of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

For Williams, he stole the hearts of many African football fans when single-handedly ousted Cape Verde with four penalty saves during the shootout in the quarter-finals.

Mokoena, on the other hand, bossed the Bafana Bafana midfield in almost all the matches and scored twice as Hugo Broos’ men defied the odds.

JUNIOR KHANYE FEELS WILLIAMS AND MOKOENA DESERVE TO PLAY IN EUROPE

“Hard luck to Ronwen Williams, he deserves to go to Europe. Him and Mokoena, I don’t know how Sundowns will keep them,” said Khanye.

BAFANA BAFANA NOW FIGHTING FOR AFCON BRONZE

Having failed to reach the final, Hugo Broos’ will now fight to come back home with a bronze medal when they take on the Democratic Republic of Congo on Saturday.
