Kaizer Chiefs finally have some good news
Things may not be going to plan for Kaizer Chiefs at the moment but there is a success story coming out from Naturena this week
Usually, moving from South America to Africa means kissing your national team spot goodbye but that wasn’t the case for Kaizer Chiefs star Edson Castillo.
Instead, the Venezuelan midfielder’s form in South Africa earned him his first international appearance since 2021!
Castillo was brought on by coach Fernando Batista in the 83rd minute against Ecuador in their goalless draw.
The last time Castillo put on the Venezuelan national team jersey was in a 3-1 loss against Brazil in October 2021!

FIFA PRESIDENT OPENS UP ON SOWETO DERBY
“It was an incredible experience in this Soweto Derby. It was the first for me and the fans were incredible. I mean, two teams were fighting until the end and Orlando Pirates won.” FIFA president Gianni Infantino said as quoted by IdiskiTimes.
“But Kaizer Chiefs really put on a fight, but it was a great game. The most emotional was what was happening on the field – we went to the public in the stadium, full house, incredible.
“I had forgotten how emotional this stadium is and also the city. I mean, I was watching this morning when I arrived [on Saturday] everyone was looking forward to this game, so it was a great game, great atmosphere, passion and incredible fans.”
