Moroka Swallows starts signing new talent

Moroka Swallows have begun rebuilding their squad after slashing 22 players for spearheading a strike last year.

Moroka Swallows have signed THREE former Orlando Pirates stars and more in an attempt beef up their depleted squad for the second half of the season.

According to SABC Sport, Ntsikelelo Nyauza, Letsie Koapeng and Augustine Mahlokono have all joined the Dube Birds.

The trio played for Pirates in different years of their careers but it was Nyauza who spent more seasons before being released a few years ago.

Following his release from Pirates, Nyauza went on to sign for Richards Bay FC but he spent a season before he was got the sack.

Now, Swallows signed him as a free agent alongside both Koapeng and Mahlonoko who spent some time training with them.

Furthermore, Swallows have acquired the services right-back Basil Mphahlele, central midfielder Roland Sanou and attackers Lwanda Mbanjwa and Jacob Everson.

“SABC Sport has established that defender Ntsikelelo Nyauza, who played for Orlando Pirates and Richards Bay, is one of the players signed by the Dube Birds following the departure of several key figures last month,” reads part of the report.

“Nyauza will be joined by striker Letsie Koapeng, right back Basil Mphahlele, central midfielder Roland Sanou, attackers Lwanda Mbanjwa, Jacob Everson as well as Augutine Mahlonoko.”

Meanwhile, Musa Nyatama is set to take over from coach Steve Komphela who still faces a bleak future at Swallows.

Komphela is yet to report for duty, and that’s because Swallows have not communicated anything to him.
